KATE
"Kate" is Roma!'s second song. It's about a redhead. Like "Queenie," "Kate" was produced by David Barratt and inspired lyrically by Joseph Moncure March's 1928 epic poem, The Wild Party.
Kate by RomaTheBand
She’s vicious
Capricious
And ever so delicious
She’s rakish
And tallish
Expressive-lipped and smallish
With a joke
And if you pay enough she’ll surely pay you back with a poke
Or some cokeOh oh oh
Oh oh ohThe taste of sin
Will pull you in
Until you’re godforsaken
You hope and pray
For her to stay
But she’s already takenShe’ll make you feel alright
Until it’s almost light
Oh Kate sweet Kate my Kate
You left me here alone and shakingWith eyes like
A raven
And appetites so craven oh
She’s lusty
And busty
And certainly not trusty noShe’s not the type to be discreet or try to keep something hid
That she did
And if you let her take the wheel you know your car’s gonna skid
That’s our kidOh oh oh
Oh oh ohThe taste of sin
Will pull you in
Until you’re godforsaken
You hope and pray
For her to stay
But she’s already takenShe’ll make you feel alright
Until it’s almost light
Oh Kate sweet Kate my Kate
You left me here alone and shakingWiggle it, Katie
Go ‘head, Katie
Wiggle it, Katie
Go ‘head, KatieWiggle it just a little bit
Come on and wiggle it
Just a little bit
Yeah yeah
Wiggle it just a little bit
Come on and wiggle it
Just a little bitThe taste of sin
Will pull you in
Until you’re godforsaken
You hope and pray
For her to stay
But she’s already takenThe taste of sin
Will pull you in
Until you’re godforsaken
You hope and pray
For her to stay
But she’s already takenShe’ll make you feel alright
Until it’s almost light
Oh Kate sweet Kate my Kate
You left me here alone and shakingOh Kate sweet Kate my Kate
You left me here alone and shakingOh Kate sweet Kate my Kate
You left me here alone and shaking
